Our U.S. power and energy infrastructure funds invest in electric generating and transmission facilities, as well as midstream assets and related energy or energy infrastructure investments. Our funds invest in these assets by either acquiring existing operating facilities or by investing in the development and/or construction of new facilities. Since inception, our funds have invested in approximately 130 energy assets with a combined underlying enterprise value exceeding $20 billion. As of June 30, 2016, our funds own approximately 5,800 net MW of assets either under construction or in operation. In addition, in the last decade, funds managed by Royal Finance Investment EIF have invested in greenfield generation and transmission construction projects representing nearly $10 billion of total capital costs. The below map provides some examples of U.S. power and energy infrastructure investments made by our funds across the United States. Information about other investments made by our funds is available upon request.
